This page describes the cookies and browser-storage mechanisms used by Tiply, and how you can manage them.
1. What Tiply stores in your browser
Tiply uses strictly-necessary first-party browser storage to operate the service:
- Authentication token — stored in
localStorageby the authentication provider to keep signed-in users signed in across page loads. - Session and attribution identifiers — a first-party identifier used for product analytics (e.g. counting unique visitors and measuring conversion), and a reference to the campaign that led you to Tiply. These are not shared with third-party advertising networks.
Tiply does not set advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. Third-party contexts
When a guest continues to Stripe Checkout, or when a professional completes Stripe Connect onboarding, cookies are set by Stripe on its own domains and are governed by Stripe's cookie policy.
3. Consent
The storage described above is strictly necessary for the service you request (authentication, completing a tip, protecting the platform from abuse) and therefore does not require prior consent under the ePrivacy Directive. If Tiply later introduces non-essential cookies, we will surface a consent banner and log your choice.
4. Managing browser storage
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings. Clearing the authentication token will sign you out of Tiply.
